The Village of Antioch along with NorthBridge Church will be holding the 4th Annual Antioch Adventure Race to kick off Fall Fest on Saturday, October 8th, 2010. The Antioch Adventure Race kicks off a day of games, music and fun in Antioch. The cost is $10.00 per team and each team must have a minimum of 2 people. There will be two divisions, the Pro Division (all members ages 16+) and the Family Division (at least 1 team member 15 or under). Cash prizes will be awarded to the top 3 teams in each division. Pre-registration is encouraged!

Team check in begins at 9:00 a.m. at The Bandshell with a rules briefing at 9:30 a.m.. The race starts at 10:00 a.m. Each team will compete against the clock to complete as many challenges as possible in the allotted time frame. Challenges will be in various locations around town and will differ at each location. Challenges will be mental, physical or both. Previous challenges have included Frisbee golf, field goal kicking, obstacle course, blow guns, Gobstopper slingshots, digestive challenge, newspaper throwing and trivia questions. Once the allotted time is up all groups will return to the bandshell where each group’s points will be totaled to determine the top three teams.

The final 3 teams in each division will compete in final event held around The Bandshell area to determine the 2011Antioch Adventure Race Champions. Last years final race included a Hippety Hop relay, pie eating contest, and a greased hill climb. There are a limited number of teams so this event will be a first-come first serve basis.

Bicycles will be allowed for part of the course for this years race. We will have a very limited number of 'loaner' bikes available on a first come first serve basis.
